Is astrology a religion or science?

While astrology itself is not a religion, that does not mean that it is not part of certain religious traditions. Many religions condemn astrology as being misaligned with their faith, but others incorporate astrology into their belief structures. In ancient times, astrology often served as the basis of religious beliefs, and you will find ancient religions that used astrology such as Zoroastrianism and the religion of the Maya. In reality, astrology can work in conjunction with any set of religious or spiritual beliefs or in their absence, since it is a predictive science based on the position of constellations and other celestial bodies that are always present in the heavens.

However, the oldest roots of astrology were intertwined with religion and science. The mathematical calculations that were applied to the orbits of stellar bodies to determine the charts were the first forms of astronomy. Astrology's attempts to explain what the heavens were and to relate their movements to humanity's own actions were similar to the questions that many religious followers asked their gods. Astrology is not a science at all.

There is nothing scientific about astrology. At best, it is described as a pseudoscience. Astrology does not need the worship of a single deity or figurehead; rather, it assumes the existence of an infinite and determined intellect that permeates the heavens and the earth in a great symphony of meaning. In 762, the Jewish astrologer Messahalla, who converted to Islam, determined the date of the founding of Baghdad.

In fact, a series of studies analyzing predictions of specific events, zodiac sign compatibilities and their professional inclinations, and the abilities of astrologers to match astrological profiles with individuals have resulted in devastating results for the profession's credibility. People choose to believe in things to help them in life and there are many different religions and beliefs and astrology is just one more in a long list. In addition to this union, many independent astrology schools emerged that offer seminar programs for training as a professional astrologer, organize conventions, publish periodicals and support research. Around the 4th century BC.

C., the Greeks discovered Babylonian astrology and treated it as a science that allowed them to predict weather, natural disasters and other events of importance in daily life. It seems to me that astrology is not scientific even though it has been calculated with a complex formula related to stars, earth, moon and planets. Whether or not it is true, it is certainly useful, and that is also the position of many modern users of astrology. But as long as a natural astrology natural astrology gave information about the climate or found application in medicine, it was allowed.

A meta-analysis was carried out that brought together 40 studies composed of 700 astrologers and more than 1000 birth charts. Those in positions of power, such as the Fatimid vizier of the Caliphate in 1120, financed the construction of observatories so that astrological predictions could be made, fueled by accurate planetary information. However, there are a staggering number of Christian theologians who officially advocate astrology. Therefore, we can assume that astrology was an important method for making important political decisions.
